Originally written as an invitation song, “Jesus I Come” is a declaration of total dependence on the mercy and grace of Jesus.

With simple, prayerful lyrics, the song captures the act of coming to Jesus just as we are—broken, weary, and in need of mercy—and finding ourselves met by His kindness and forgiveness. Anchored by a moving chorus that declares, “Oh God how I need You,” the song invites listeners into a posture of humility and trust.

Tamera's Bio

Jesus is my joy; worship is the outpouring from that joy.

Tamera Perry is a worship leader and singer/songwriter whose heart for ministry shines through every lyric and melody. Serving at Calvary Chapel Silver City since 2001, she brings decades of experience leading worship and a lifetime of musical passion to her recordings.

Raised in Dell City, Texas, in a family where music was as natural as breathing, Tamera began playing piano, fiddle, and guitar in her early years. By her teens, she was already leading worship at camps and churches—an outpouring of both love of Jesus and love of music.

Tamera’s original worship songs are born from time spent in prayer, Scripture, and serving the local church. With a deep love for helping others encounter God, she writes music not just to be heard, but to be sung—by congregations, small groups, and anyone seeking to draw closer to Christ.
